The kids live in the fictional town of Derry, Maine, and they eventually come face-to-face with Pennywise, an evil entity portrayed masterfully by Tim Curry. The effects are both creepy and funny, depending on the scene. It's a great horror flick that definitely knows how to keep you on edge!
The characters are likable, particularly Richie Tozier (played by Seth Green) who brings a great deal of comic relief to the movie.
