Friday the 13th (1980)
Since a little kid perished there in 1957, Camp Crystal Lake has been haunted by the evil eye on Friday the 13th. After missing out on the campfire singalong in favor of some late-night bananas and cream, two camp counselors tragically lost their lives the following year. After then, everything went completely off the rails. He predicts that humanity as a whole will eventually perish. Everyone! A young woman's neck is sliced open a few minutes later. The days when a thorough molest by your counselor was the worst thing that could happen are long gone. The counselors are swiftly separated from one another and murdered by the unidentified murderer.
As the plot develops, we find out that Jason was the name of the youngster who drowned in the lake and that his mother, Mrs. Voorhees, blames his death on the fact that he was ignored by the two counselors who were having an affair. Then Mrs. Voorhees goes crazy, begins imitating Jason's voice, and tries to murder a ho in a hillbilly spree. After one last murder, the last person seen was a confused girl in the hospital, and Jason has not been seen since.

Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)
All Elm Street kids share a nightmare about a terrifying monster with knives for fingers who wears a striped sweater and has a damaged face. Tina is brutally murdered in the closed bedroom she and her lover, Rod, share. To learn the truth, Nancy tries to coax the monster out of her nightmare. There are some terrifying dream scenes and throwaway dark humor, but it's hard to separate the image of Fred Krueger from the farce of a series we now know was to follow. "It's horrible at that height. After the fountain of blood incident in Glen's bedroom, a police officer tells him, "You need a mop."
Evil-Dead (2013)
The plot of Evil Dead is identical to that of every other picture set in a lodge in the woods, particularly The Cabin in the Woods. Five teenagers discover a mysterious book in a creepy home and let loose evil spirits. Everything goes to hell. Mia has to be away from the lodge to stop smoking. Though she has promised never to use drugs again, her friends are taking drastic measures to ensure that she does. The drug abuse storyline gives Evil Dead a little more conceptual depth, but not much. Addicts may identify with Mia when she throws blood on her nurse Olivia and moans about the stench in the basement. They represent the protagonists' frailties in supernatural suspense stories. Alvarez doesn't go overboard with metaphors.
When Mia becomes possessed and warns the others to let her go, she does a fantastic job portraying evil. Both Don't Breathe and Evil Dead has a high rate of action. Mia goes into withdrawal and freezes; after that, a possessed tree rapes her.
Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974)
A group of unattractive teenagers disregarded the warnings. It ended in the company of a psychotic family in the middle of nowhere. Even though it's not very graphic, this film is as loud, persistent, and unsubtle as having your limb sawed off without anesthetic. Unceremoniously, the three males meet their ends while the women are played with indefinitely, their cries escalating into orgasms of terror.
